Scientific Calculations

To calculate the production of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) from sugarcane-based molasses, we need to consider several factors, including the sugar content of the molasses, fermentation efficiency, and distillation yield.

1. Molasses to Alcohol Conversion:

1 kg molasses ≈ 260-300 ml alcohol (depending on fermentation efficiency)

Fermentation efficiency = (alcohol produced / theoretical alcohol) x 100

2. ENA Yield Calculation:

ENA yield = (distilled ENA / total alcohol produced) x 100

Assume 90% distillation efficiency
